What is Phlebotomy?

Phlebotomists collect blood from patients/donors in hospitals, blood banks or clinics for analysis or other purposes. This course prepares students to be integral members of the health-care team, with attention to standard precautions, record keeping, vital signs and therapeutic communication skills.

How can you use this class to earn other certificates? 

  1. You can now earn the Phlebotomy for the Health Care Worker Certificate (5110043039) after completing this training that consists of PHB 152 and PHB 170 (a total of 4 credits).
  2. If you complete this course along with NAA100 and CPR100, you can earn the Certified Medical Technician – 5108993039 Certificate.
