Job Description

Manpower Huntington is looking for Field Service Technicians to join a regional industrial equipment supplier.  The candidate(s) selected will be required to travel throughout the Northeastern Region of the United States and will be flexible to work varying schedules and hours.  This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay and benefits. 

The Field Service Technician will provide technical and operations support of reciprocating compression equipment and supporting utility systems within customer facilities during commissioning, start-up, operations, preventative and corrective maintenance, performance testing, and trouble-shooting situations as required. 

Requirements

  • Ability to manage time and travels to be on time to where needed across the Northeast Region of the United States for extended periods of time. 
  • Use mechanical skills and use variety of hand power, and pneumatic tooling 
  • The schedule and work hours may differ from day to day and can fluctuate for many reasons due to the complexity of tasks. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Reciprocating Compression preferred.
  • Must possess the following attributes:  Safety focused, service-oriented, business focused, self-starter.
  • Well-developed administrative and organization skills.
  • Results oriented and operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Clear, concise, and accurate service reporting is required.
  • Dependable with the ability to multi-task. 
  • Education:  Associates Degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) with a technical concentration or equivalent work experience.  
  • Knowledge of Engine and Compressor Theory, basic shop math skills, computer skills (word/excel), equipment documentation such as drawings. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry or associated industry preferred.
