RTW STUDENTS ATTEND MINI CONFERENCE

ACTC Ready to Work hosted a mini conference on Aug. 6, 2019 co-sponsored by the BB&T Bank Huntington, WV and Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence. More than 60 RTW students learned about financial awareness and domestic violence, with the aim of removing as many barriers as possible between them and their college degree and career goals.  

BUILD ASHLAND AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP

Shyann Morris, of Ashland, was awarded the Rick Ritchason Memorial Scholarship by Build Ashland. The Ashland Community and Technical College student was chosen to receive the $3,000 scholarship because of her commitment to volunteerism and her ability to overcome adversity. The 24-year-old began her journey at ACTC in the summer of 2018. She began the Licensed Practical Nursing program this semester. The scholarship was created in memory of Rick Ritchason and his commitment to community service. Ready to Work student.
