Reflections at the End of the Semester
December 6, 2016
Many events at the college in December demonstrated different aspects of our mission. We met with high school counselors, held a recruitment event to bring in new students, recognized graduates, provided enrichment activities for youth, updated high school counselors on college services, recognized a retiring member of our Board of Directors and hired a new Development Director. KCTCS President Jay Box outlined the new Strategic Plan to meet student and community needs. The Ashland High School Class of ’64 provided a gift through the Foundation for the Tri-State Community to support a new Young Men’s Conference.
During these events, our faculty continued to teach, our students finished their classes and our admissions, advising and financial aid offices continued to enroll students in spring classes. I want to thank everyone who has helped the college meet our educational goals throughout the year.
We have spent much time finishing up the fall semester and preparing for spring. Now it is time to enjoy the holiday season. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
