In recognition of PTK’s "Founder’s Day," the Alpha Omega Gamma Chapter expressed their sincere appreciation to the faculty and staff at Ashland Community and Technical College for their contribution to the hallmark of scholarship by delivering a gift of an apple and a certificate of appreciation.

Janet Thompson, PTK Advisor, says celebrating “Founder’s Day” has become a yearly tradition for the chapter.  “We enjoy the opportunity to give a token of appreciation to the faculty and staff whose work makes it possible for our students to achieve their goals and dreams. We chose to gift an apple for its symbolism of being the fruit of knowledge. Our college personnel work tirelessly for our students and we are grateful for their commitment to student success.”

Membership to ACTC’s PTK chapter is open to students with a 3.25 GPA and at least 18 credit hours that can be applied toward an associate's degree. The Chapter encourages scholarship and provides leadership, service and fellowship opportunities. Members can participate in honors activities and compete for Phi Theta Kappa transfer scholarships.
