Incoming ACTC students can preregister NOW

ASHLAND, KY--Preregistration for the spring 2021 semester at Ashland Community and Technical College began October 1.

Preregistration refers to the process of submitting an admission application, getting that application processed/approved, completing orientation and any necessary placement testing and submitting any transcripts from other institutions. 

Once an incoming student is preregistered, they can contact the Welcome Center at (606) 326-2040 to schedule an appointment with an advisor to register for classes. 

“If you plan to register for the spring semester, you will want to complete the preregistration process as soon as possible to ensure a better chance of getting the classes you want before they are full,” said Steve Woodburn, Chief Student Affairs Officer. 

The spring semester is scheduled to begin Monday, January 11. Classes offered include online, on-campus and hybrid options.  

“We understand that you may be concerned about your health, especially new students to ACTC, but so are we,” said Woodburn. “We are taking every precaution to ensure the safest learning environment as possible for all of our students.”
