
Beginners drawing class starts April 11

Ashland Community and Technical College Workforce Solutions is offering a basic
drawing skills class this spring.
The six-week class will meet from 5-6 p.m. on Thursdays at the Roberts Drive
Campus starting April 11 and running through May 16. The class will be taught by Kim
Johnson, who has been an art teacher at Saint Joseph Central Catholic High School
in Ironton, Ohio, since 2001. She also studied art at Eastern Kentucky University.
Participants in the class will learn eye-hand coordination drills, basic drawing
steps, and touch on advance drawing skills. This class progresses from grids to contour
lines, shapes and shading with the use of still-lifes, to figure drawing.
The class fee is $85 and includes all supplies. Payment must be made at the time
