ACT prep available for high school students
Feb. 27, 2019
High school students can get ready for the ACT college entrance test in a 16-hour
class from 5-7 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning March 4 and running through
March 26.
The class is designed to help students overcome test anxiety and improve test-taking
skills. Participants will go over ACT sample questions, learn test-taking tips, review
English grammar and punctuation and practice working arithmetic and geometry problems.
The fee is $129, and students will need to purchase Baron’s Preparation for the
ACT by Brian Stewart, available in the ACTC bookstore or online bookstores. The course
currently uses the 3rd edition of the book.
The class will be at the Roberts Drive Campus. Register by emailing Workforce
Solutions at as_workforce@kctcs.edu or by calling 606-326-2072.
