February 27 is the application deadline for spring bi-term classes at Ashland Community and Technical College.
Bi-term classes are eight-weeks long, half the length of traditional semester classes but with the same content as semester-long classes. Students can take up to seven credit hours of classes in general education subjects required for associate degrees and diplomas, as well as specialized courses in technical programs.
All courses listed below are online unless otherwise mentioned.
General education classes are Intro to Art, Intro to Biology, Intro to Communications, Intro to Interpersonal Communications, Writing I, Writing II, History of US through 1865, History of US since 1865, Intro to the Humanities, General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Intro to Sociology and Modern Social Problems.
Business classes are Intro to Business, Intro to Business Law and Managerial Accounting.
Computer courses are Intro to Computers, Connecting Networks and Microsoft Server Advanced Service.
Criminal Justice courses are Issues/Ethics in Criminal Justice, Delinquency and the Juvenile Justice System.
Math courses are Basic Algebra, Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra. Math classes on campus are Technical Mathematics and Technical Algebra & Trigonometry.
On campus courses are offered in Computer Aided Drafting & Design CADD), Electrical Technology and Computerized Manufacturing & Machining (CMM).
The CADD courses in Engineering Graphics, Descriptive Geometry, Parametric Modeling and Industrial Applications develop skills needed for a jobs in variety of architectural, civil, mechanical, and manufacturing fields.
CMM courses in Manual Programming CAD/CAM/CNC, Conversational Programming and Intro to 3-D Programming develop skills for operating CNC machine tools.

Bi-term classes start March 13 and end May 7. New students enrolling only in the bi-term session may be eligible for financial aid. To apply for financial aid, complete the 2015-16 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. For more information, call 855-246-2282.
Currently students are not eligible to receive additional financial aid for any bi-term classes added to their class schedules. Visiting students are not eligible for aid through ACTC during the bi-term session.
