ACTC Online Courses Cover Many Subjects

ACTC is offering more than 100 online courses for Spring Semester. Online learning has become very popular because of the flexibility offered by 24/7 learning from your home computer.

Because of their popularity, online classes fill quickly and early registration is recommended. Registration for spring semester is ongoing for students who have completed admission and orientation requirements. New students can start by completing the application form on the web.

January 7 is the deadline to apply for Spring Semester, but students are encouraged to enroll as soon as possible in order to get the widest selection of classes.

Career Program Courses

Some career programs offer online courses to help working students and graduates earn additional credentials

The Information Technology Program offers an entirely on-line associate degree, and spring courses include Computer Hardware and Software, Java I, Web Page Development, Security Fundamentals and Microsoft networking courses.

Almost all Criminal Justice courses are offered online. Spring courses include Asset Protection, Criminal Investigations, Courtroom Procedures and a new course in Terrorism amp; Political Violence.

Online courses in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) include Child Guidance, Creative Expressions in IECE, Administration of Early Childhood Education, and Sciences and Math in IECE.

Online General Education Courses

Many of the general education courses required for associate degrees are offered online. Some of those courses are listed below.

Accounting and economics courses include Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Contemporary Economic Issues, Principles of Macroeconomics and Statistics.

Business courses include Small Business Management, Principles of Management, Applied Management Skills, Supervisory Management, and Real Estate courses.

Education courses are Human Development amp; Learning, Teaching Exceptional Learners, Elementary School Literature, and Math for Elementary / Middle School Teachers.

English / Communications courses include Writing I, Writing II, Intro to Literature, Survey of American Literature I, Intro to Film and Intro to Interpersonal Communications and Intro to Intercultural Communications

History courses are History of Europe to Mid-17th Century,History of Europe Post-17th Century,History of the US Through 1865, History of the US Since 1865 and History of Kentucky.

Other humanities courses include introductory courses in Cultural Anthropology, Art, Religious Studies, Comparative Religion and Theatre.

Math courses include Basic Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Col, Business Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, College Algebra and Trigonometry.

Science courses include Intro to Biology, Human Ecology, Human Anatomy amp; Physiology I, Introductory General Chemistry, Regional Geography of World and Lands/Peoples of the Non-West World.

Social Science /Sociology courses include American Government, World Politics, General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Intro to Sociology, Modern Social Problems, Development of Social Welfare and The Family.
