ACTC Graduation is May 4

Ashland Community and Technical College will recognize a record number of more
than 800 students at the graduation ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the Paramount
Arts Center.
The students to be honored are August and December 2017 graduates, and May and
Summer 2018 graduation candidates. Many have earned more than one degree, diploma
or certificate, and more than 2,000 credentials will be awarded.
In honor of ACTC’s 80th anniversary, the college will honor alumni through the
decades.
Ashland resident Eryn Casey will be the graduating student speaker.
The Russell High School Air Force JROTC will be the color guard, under the direction
of Color Guard Commander Mercedes Maupin, and ACTC graduate Ciera James will sing
the national anthem.
The graduation ceremony is free and open to the public. The ceremony will also
stream live beginning at 6:20 p.m. at www.greenupbeacon.com and www.greenupbeacon2.com.
