Workshop on Drug Alcohol Free Workplace

A free workshop on Maintaining a Drug amp; Alcohol Free Workplace will be held Wednesday, July 27, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the ACTC Roberts Drive Campus.

Business owners, supervisors, managers and human resource professionals will learn how establish and maintain a safer, healthier, and more productive work environment.

Instructor Mike Wirzfeld, Coordinator of Occupational Medicine at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, will help participants identify employee behavior that may indicate a problem and what to do once there is a problem.

Participants will learn how to set up legal and effective drug and alcohol workplace policies, including pre-employment screening, random and reasonable cause testing procedures, and how to handle test results.

The workshop is cosponsored by ACTC Workforce Solutions and Morehead State Universitys Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Although the workshop is free, pre-registration is requested through the SBDC, 606-329-8011 or online: http://kysbdc.ecenterdirect.com/conferences.action.
