Office Procedures Training Class | ACTC

Office Procedures Training Class

An evening class to help people prepare for office technology jobs, while earning six college credit hours, begins February 5 at Ashland Community and Technical College.

The class combines the content of two office technology classes, Document Formatting/Word Processing and Office Procedures, to provide a foundation in entry-level job skills.

Students will learn to use industry standard word processing software with touch typing speed and accuracy and will cover electronic office practices and procedures such as job applications, human relations in the office, business ethics, decision-making skills, travel and meeting arrangements, time and stress management, incoming/outgoing mail processes and telephone procedures.

The class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 5 to May 4, from 6-9 p.m. at the Roberts Drive Campus. The college tuition fee is $840, and financial aid is available to those who qualify. In addition to earning six college credits in the 12-week class, students will receive a certificate of completion from ACTC Workforce Solutions.
