Initiatives Can Help Kentucky Businesses

A free program on New Kentucky Business Initiatives will be held Tuesday, August 21, at the Bellefonte Country Club in Bellefonte, KY. The program is supported by Ashland Community and Technical College.

The Lunch and Learn session will provide information on services to support new and growing businesses and help create jobs in our region. These services are listed below.

The Kentucky Innovation Network helps Kentucky entrepreneurs build their businesses by providing access to funding and a network of marketing, management and finance expertise.

Make It Kentucky fosters the growth of innovative companies and helps entrepreneurs develop new products and increase their competitiveness.

Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) provides cost effective, accessible employee training and services for entrepreneurs and knowledge-based businesses.

Morehead State University (MSU) provides access to university level education facilities and the Small Business Development Center.

Participants will also be able to talk with the speakers and service representatives: Rick Johnson, Technology Commercialization Executive in Residence; Johnathan Gay from the MSU Innovation Network; Kim Jenkins from the MSU Small Business Development Center; Dr. Larry Ferguson from ACTC Workforce Solutions; and Mick Fosson from the ACTC Innovation Network.
