High Performance Engine Rebuild Class
A High Performance Engine Rebuild Class will begin January 8 at ACTC.
Participants will learn to adjust or modify a gasoline car or truck short block engine, including cylinder heads, valve train, intake manifold and pre-start procedures such as Installation of distributor, wires and plugs and setting the ignition timing.
Instructor Rick Burnett is ACTC Division Chair for Manufacturing and Transportation, a diesel technology instructor and a drag strip racer who is experienced in modifying engines for high performance.
The 60-hour hands-on class will be held Saturdays, January 8 to April 16 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Roberts Drive Campus. The fee is $225 and preregistration is required. To register, contact ACTC Lifelong Learning, 606-326-2072, 800-928-4256 or email: as_LLL@kctcs.edu.
