Free Financial Aid Program January 29
College-bound area residents can find out about financial aid at College Goal Sunday, a free program January 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Ashland Community and Technical College.
Many people have questions about how they can afford college, and this program will help them find the answers.
Financial aid representatives will provide information on the types of aid available and the qualifications for financial aid. They will also provide one-on-one help in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the form required for anyone seeking federal financial aid in order to attend a college and university.
Students should attend with a parent or guardian and bring completed 2011 tax returns, if available, or other 2011 income and benefits information for themselves and their parents. If parents are unable to attend, students may attend alone.
The program is open to anyone considering attending college next fall. The program will be held in the Teleconference Room at ACTCs College Drive Campus.
College Goal Sunday is a statewide program sponsored by the Kentucky Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (KASFAA). For more information, call the ACTC Financial Aid Office, 606-326-2198 or 800-928-4256 or KASFAA toll free, 888-452-7322.
