Financial Aid Is Available For Summer Sessions

May 10, 2010

Financial aid is available at Ashland Community and Technical College for summer session students who qualify.

Although ACTC tuition is the lowest in the region, at $125 per credit hour for summer sessions, many students qualify for financial aid. Instate rates are available to Ohio residents of Adams, Athens, Gallia, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Pike, Scioto and Vinton counties and West Virginia residents of Cabell, Mingo and Wayne counties.

For financial aid information, call the Office of Financial Aid, 606-326-2198 or 800-928-4256 ext. 62198 or visit our website at: kctcs.edu/Costs_and_Financial_Aid. Information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the form required for all forms of financial aid, is online at fafsa.ed.gov.

Summer Session I is May 24 to June 25, and Summer Session II is June 28 to July 30. Most summer classes are for three credits, and many are offered in the general education subjects that are required for associate and bachelor degrees.

Classes will be offered at the new Technology Drive Campus Phase II expansion as well as the College Drive and Roberts Drive Campuses.

Summer I Registration is ongoing through May 21. Students can register for Summer I, Summer II and fall semester classes at the same time.

New students need to complete the application process before registering and August 9 is the application deadline for fall semester. Admission forms and class schedules are on the web at: ashland.kctcs.edu. For more information, call the Admissions Office, 606-326-2114.
