Figgins on MSU Alumni Board

Edward E. Figgins, ACTC Associate Professor of Theatre/Communication and Director of Theatre , has been appointed to the Morehead State University (MSU) Alumni Board of Directors. The Alumni Board supports and promotes the interests of MSU.

Figgins graduated from MSU with a BA in Theatre and a MA in Communications. He taught at MSU and Georgetown College before joining the faculty of Ashland Community College, a predecessor of ACTC, in 1993.

He is a member of the MSU Theatre Advisory Board and is a past member of the City of Ashland Commission on Human Rights. While in Morehead he was one of the founding board members of the Morehead Theatre Guild where he directed Harvey and A Christmas Carol.

At ACTC, Figgins has directed over seventy productions and was the Scenic/Lighting Designer and Technical Director for most of the productions. Last month, he directed Nosferatu The Vampire, the opening production of ACTC Theatres 2010-2011 Season
