Dean Ferguson Moves into New Position

Effective July 1, Dr. Larry Ferguson became Dean of Resource Development and External Affairs at ACTC. He was previously Dean of Community, Workforce and Economic Development.

An Ashland native and Catlettsburg resident, he is a graduate of Boyd County High School. He has an associate degree from ACTC predecessor, Ashland Community College, and Bachelors and Masters Degree in Leadership from Mountain State University, WV. His Ph.D. in Education Leadership is from Trident University.

Ferguson serves on the Presidents Leadership Team and College Council. He chairs both the Valued Employee and the Professional amp; Organizational Development Committees and serves on the Teaching and Learning Excellence Committee.

Before starting at ACTC in 2007, he was Manager of Leadership Development at Kings Daughters Medical Center. Larry is currently the Vice-Chair of the Northeast Kentucky United Way and works with several other organizations with strategic planning and leadership development.
