Cosmetology Tree Wins Blue Ribbon
Image courtesy of Tatum Kitchen A Christmas tree decorated by ACTC Cosmetology students in November won a blue ribbon at the Paramount Arts Centers Festival of Trees. The pink tree with silver, white and black ornaments won first place in the Community and Professional Tree category.
Student Gwen Masterson spearheaded the tree idea, and students who decorated the tree included Misty Conn, Bobbie Cornwell, April Damron, Tatum Kitchen, Tess Webb, Renee Riffe, Billie Smith, Karri Tussey and Tess Webb.
Im so proud of these students for taking the initiative and working so hard on a project that benefits the community, said Belinda Bradley, Cosmetology Program Coordinator. They really outdid themselves.
Trees donated to the Festival of Trees are raffled off by the Paramount to raise funds for community projects. The tree may be viewed on the web at: youtube.com/paramountartscenter.
