Camp Invention for Youth
In this week long enrichment camp, students in first to sixth grades will explore science, technology and their own innate creativity and inventiveness. Each day, the students will experiment, play, create, construct, deconstruct, upcycle, invent and reengineer their way through four modules of learning activities.
In Amplified, students explore the five senses, develop bionic gadgets and explore sensory illusions. In the I Can Invent: Pinbug class, students take apart electronics to build an epic, insect themed pinball machine. In Design Studio: Morphed, students work together as entrepreneurs and team leaders to design solutions to nature-based challenges. In SuperGO. students learn about energy, fuel and motors as they build morphing vehicles that operate on land, in the air and underwater.
This years Camp Invention Morphed Program integrates 21st century learning into fun hands-on activities that foster innovation, cooperation and critical thinking skills. The camp is June 23 to 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the College Drive Campus, and the fee is $220. Register online at campinvention.org.
