Ballroom Dance Class Starts September 7

Heres your chance to get ready for that upcoming wedding or father/daughter dance. ACTCs Ballroom Dancing Class will help couples learn basic steps and rhythms for formal dances.

Instructors Allen Darnel and Kay McFarland will teach the basic elements of partner dancing, including posture, frame, leading, following, footwork, timing and style characteristics.

Allen Darnel has more than 50 years of experience working with the Veloz and Yolanda, Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray Dance Studios as well as the Golden Door Resort in California. Kay McFarland began at Dance City USA and has taught at Fred Astaire and other studios in Texas. She and Darnel owned Beginners Only Dance Studios in Houston, TX before retiring. They now live in Catlettsburg.

The class will meet Fridays, Sept. 7 to 28, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Roberts Drive Campus. The fee is $55 per couple, and enrollment is through ACTC Community Education, 606-326-2072 or 606-326-2129, email: as_LLL@kctcs.edu.
