Apply Now for Associate Degree Nursing

February 1 is the application deadline for the Associate Degree Nursing class that begins at ACTC in Fall Semester, 2015.

This program prepares graduates to care for patients as registered nurses in beginning staff-level positions. The curriculum combines general education and nursing instruction with clinical experiences in community health care facilities.

The program is approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN), 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 500, Atlanta GA 30326, telephone 404-975-5000.

Graduates are eligible to write the National Council Licensure Examination to become registered nurses. Employment is found in hospitals, nursing homes, extended care facilities, physician's offices, clinics, and public health agencies.

Enrollment in the program is through a selective admission process. Applicants must have completed BIO137, PSY110, CIT105, and MAT150 prior to the start of the nursing program. Students admitted to the program must complete Healthcare Provider CPR requirements and a nursing assistant course or equivalent before enrolling in the first nursing course.
