Apply Now for ACTC Spring Classes

Ashland Community and Technical College is accepting applications for Spring Semester 2012. The application deadline is January 2, but getting admissions and registration out of the way before the holidays is recommended. Many courses are filling up, and the sooner people apply, the sooner they can get their courses scheduled.

Application forms are available on the web at ashland.kctcs.edu and may be submitted online or by mail to the Admissions Office at the College Drive Campus or the Technology Drive Campus. Applicants will also need to submit an official copy of their high school transcript or GED, transcripts from other colleges or universities attended, and ACT score if available.

In-state tuition for Spring Semester 2012 for new students is $135 per credit hour, a lower rate than at other colleges and universities in the area. In-state rates are available to Ohio residents of Adams, Athens, Gallia, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Pike, Scioto and Vinton counties, and West Virginia residents of Cabell, Mingo and Wayne counties.

While new students are working on the admission process, they can also apply for financial aid. Federal Pell Grants are available for students who qualify, and many ACTC students qualify.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only form required for most federal and state aid programs. The FAFSA can be submitted electronically over the Internet through the web site at fafsa.gov, and ACTC forms are available on the web at ashland.kctcs.edu.

For more information on the application process, contact the Admissions Office at 606-326-2000. For more financial aid information or help with the FAFSA, contact the Office of Financial Aid, 606-326-2198.
