Apply for Bi-Term Classes by October 3

October 3 is the application deadline for fall bi-term classes at Ashland Community and Technical College. Bi-term classes are eight-weeks long, half the length of traditional semester classes.

Bi-term classes offer a second chance for new students who want to start classes this fall. Bi-term classes also offer current students the chance to add a class to their schedule. Students can take up to seven credit hours of classes in general education subjects appropriate for most new students. Many of the classes are offered online.

General Education classes include Intro to Art, Writing I, Writing II, Intro to Personal Communications, General Psychology, Intro to Biology, Intro to Computers, Intro to the Humanities, College Algebra, Technical Mathematics and Modern Social Problems.

Classes in Computer Aided Drafting amp; Design are Engineering Graphics, Parametric Modeling, Architectural Design and Industrial Applications. Classes for Computers and Information Technology majors are Routing and Switching Essentials and Microsoft Server Configuration.

Programming classes in the Computerized Manufacturing and Machining Program are Manual Programming CAD/CAM/CNC, Conversational Programming and Intro to 3-D Programming. Electrical Technology classes are Rotating Machinery plus Lab and Electrical Motor Controls 2 plus Lab.

Bi-term classes start October 17, and new students must complete the application process, including orientation and placement testing, by October 3. Admissions forms are online at: ashland.kctcs.edu/admissions.
