ACTC/FIVCO Science Fair is February 6

The public is invited to the second annual ACTC/FIVCO Area Science amp; Engineering Fair on February 6 at the Technology Drive Campus of Ashland Community and Technical College. The Fair is designed for students in fourth to twelfth grades in public, parochial or home-based schools in Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Greenup and Lawrence Counties in Kentucky.

A total of 109 projects from all five FIVCO counties have been entered in the fair. Entries will be judged in the morning, and the awards ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. The Technology Drive Campus is located just off KY 67 (Industrial Parkway), accessible from I-64 exit 179 or from US 23 one mile south of Greenup.

ACTC is coordinating this fair to promote and recognize student achievements in science and engineering, with support through a grant from Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. Fair winners will be eligible for participation in a state regional science fair.
