ACTC Tuition Set for 2011-2012

ACTC tuition for 2011-2012 has been set at $135 per credit hour for new students who are Kentucky residents. This is a slightly less than 4% increase over last year. In-state rates are available to Ohio residents of Adams, Athens, Gallia, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Pike, Scioto and Vinton counties, and West Virginia residents of Cabell, Mingo and Wayne counties.

In-state tuition for students who were enrolled at ACTC in fall 2010 and/or spring 2011 will remain at last years rate of $130 per credit hour. This tuition freeze for lasts years returning students includes high school students in dual enrollment classes.

The rates apply to students at all colleges Kentucky Community and Technical College System. Even though the rates are lower than at other colleges and universities in the region, ACTC offers the Federal Pell Grant and other types of financial aid to help eligible students pay for college.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the only form required for most federal and state aid programs, is online at fafsa.ed.gov, and ACTC forms are available at: ashland.kctcs.edu.

To apply for financial aid as a new student, individuals must have completed the admission process and be in degree, certificate or diploma status. Applicants must also be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen and be registered with the Selective Service as required.

After filling out the FAFSA, applicants should make an appointment to complete their financial aid file in the Financial Aid Office, Room 223 at the College Drive Campus or Room156 at the Technology Drive Campus. For an appointment, call 606-326-2198.
