ACTC Staff Conference Will Promote Health

ACTCs 2011 Staff Conference will be held Friday, June 3, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Technology Drive Campus. The conference, Get Healthy, Get Rested, Get Going, offers a variety of sessions on ways to improve your emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health.

The featured presenter is Dr. Fred Danner, Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Kentucky. His topic, Normal Sleep and the Effects of Poor Sleep Quality on Daytime Functioning, will focus on the effects of sleep deprivation on learning and behavior.

While the conference is presented for college staff, the topics are appropriate for staff in any organization. Concurrent sessions will include Better Living Through Defeating Procrastination, Getting Organized and Decluttering Your Life, Go FISH (the Fish philosophy), What Are You Thinking? (thinking styles), Moving Forward after Life Changing Events and Zumba fitness.
