ACTC Presidential Candidates Will Visit June 25 26

Four finalists for the presidency of Ashland Community and Technical College will visit Ashland for interviews and meetings with college faculty, staff, students and the community.

They are Dr. Kay Adkins, president of Yuba College in Marysville, CA.; Dr. John Holdnak, vice chancellor for financial policy, Florida College System; Dr. Ralph Soney, president of Roanoke-Chowan Community College in North Carolina; and Dr. Rhonda Tracy, senior vice-president for academic affairs, West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

Area residents are invited to the community meetings at the College Drive Campus. The meetings on June 25 are with Dr. Soney from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Dr. Holdnak from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The meetings on June 26 are with Dr. Adkins from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Dr. Tracy from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

After the visits, the presidential selection committee will recommend one candidate to KCTCS President Michael McCall, and Dr. McCall will make the selection. The new president will replace Dr. Gregory D. Adkins, who is retiring after 11 years at ACTC.
