ACTC Offers Photography Classes

Ashland Community and Technical College is offering two photography classes taught by professional photographer and area artist J. Bird Cremeans. Enrollment is through ACTC Community Education, 606-326-2072, 800-928-4256 ext. 62072 or email: as_ce@kctcs.edu.

Intro to Photography is a beginning class for people who want to do more with their cameras than point and shoot. Participants will learn camera basics, including manual settings, and photo techniques. The class meets Tuesdays, Oct. 16 to Dec. 4, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. with no class on Election Day, Nov. 6, or during the week of Thanksgiving. The fee is $69 plus any film processing costs.

Intro to Photography Part 2 will help those who took the beginning class develop a more creative eye. Participants will learn how to pose individuals and groups in a home studio that the instructor will show them how to make. The class meets Wednesdays, Oct. 17 to Nov. 28, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., with no class the week of Thanksgiving. The fee is $75 plus any film processing costs.
