ACTC Offers Photography Photoshop Classes
Ashland Community and Technical College will offer photography and Photoshop classes in August. The hands-on classes are taught by J. Bird Cremeans, an area photographer and experienced instructor, and the classes will meet at the College Drive Campus.
Intro to Photography I will meet Tuesdays, Aug. 26 to Sept. 30, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Participants will learn camera basics including manual settings and special features. The class includes detailed instruction and one-on-one help in camera operations. The fee is$69 plus any film processing costs.
Intro to Photography II will meet Wednesdays, Aug. 27 to Oct. 1, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Those who already know camera basics will develop photography skills, including creative ways to pose individuals and groups of people. The fee is$75 plus any film processing costs.
Photoshop will meet Mondays, Aug. 25 to Oct. 10, (no class on Labor Day) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This class is designed for anyone interested in photography, graphic design, photo restoration, digital scrapbooking, and more. Participants will learn to crop, resize, combine, enhance, apply special effects and add graphic elements to their photos and web pages. The fee is$75.
