ACTC Offers Free Retirement/Estate Planning Programs

Free Estate and Retirement Planning programs will begin at Ashland Community and Technical College on May 28. The sessions are led by financial planning, investment and legal experts who have a total of 250 years of experience in helping people prepare for the future.

The time to begin planning for a comfortable retirement and disposition of your assets is now, said Frank Salisbury, ACTC Director of Advancement.

Planning for Retirement sessions, held Tuesday and Thursday, May 28 and 30, will include Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, investment strategies, rollovers, IRAs and annuities.

Planning for Disability and End of Life sessions will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 4 to 13. Topics include guardianships and conservatorships, the probate process, crisis planning, disability care options, life and long-term care insurance, funeral planning, powers of attorney, wills and trusts.

Sponsored by ACTC and the ACTC Foundation, the sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Learning Resource Center Teleconference Room at ACTCs College Drive Campus. Space is limited on a first-come basis.
