ACTC Offers Computer Training Classes
Ashland Community and Technical College is offering computer training classes that can make your work life more productive and your home computer use more effective. Hands-on computer training classes at the Roberts Drive Campus will include tips and techniques from the experts.

In Computer Basics amp; File Management on May 4, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, participants will learn how to make a computer work for them instead of the other way around. Topics include an introduction to computer terminology, software and hardware, managing and customizing desktop icons and computer settings, and creating and managing folders and files
In Microsoft Word on May 4, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., participants will learn how to make their daily computer tasks easier. Topics include ways to create, edit, format, save and print documents as well as how to change font styles, sizes, colors, bullets and numbering features.
In Microsoft Excel on May 11 from 9:00 a.m. to noon, participants will learn to create, format and edit excel spreadsheets; use simple mathematical calculations and functions to manipulate data; merge data; and use the fill handle and other basic functions.
In Intro To Microsoft Access on May 11from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., participants will learn how Access can be used to create, organize and manage data for personal or small business information management. Topics include entering, modifying and deleting records within a database, defining fields and data types, navigating within a table and creating and modifying forms.
Using Facebook to Market Your Business on May 12 from 8:00 a.m. to noon will introduce one of the hottest new tools in marketing communications. Participants will learn how to set up a page for their business or organization and navigate through facebook. Participants will also get creative social media marketing tips and should bring marketing materials, such as brochures, business cards and photos, in electronic format to get the most out of this hands-on training.
