ACTC Offers Classes for Business Employees
Workforce Solutions at Ashland Community and Technical College offers a variety of business and industry training classes this fall.
Workforce Solutions, formerly known as Business and Industry Services, is part of the Community, Workforce and Economic Development (CWED) umbrella of services for businesses, organizations and individuals in the area. These services are Lifelong Learning, Adult Basic Education, the Entrepreneur Center, Ashland Area Innovation Center and the Assessment / Testing Center.
Workshops include:
Sales and Service in a Down Economy, Monday, Oct. 4, 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Training Day for the Banking Industry, Thursday, Oct. 7.
Basics of a Lean 5-S System, Tuesday, Oct. 12, 8:00 a.m. to noon.
Training Day for Insurance Agents, Thursday, Oct. 14.
Six Steps to a Better Business, Friday, Oct. 15, 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.
A variety of computer workshops are also offered. The workshops are open to business employees and individuals who want to prepare for advancement. Most workshops are $35, and pre-registration is required. More information is on the web at ashland.kctcs.edu under Workforce Solutions.
