ACTC Has Two Summer Camps for Youth

Ashland Community and Technical College is offering two summer camps for youth in June. College Camp features one hour classes in art, music, foreign culture, theatre and literature for youth ages six to thirteen. Camp Invention offers a day-long program of science and technology classes for first to sixth graders. Both camps held at the College Drive Campus in Ashland.

COLLEGE CAMP

College Camp 2011, with classes ranging from art and music to bugs and wizards, will be held June 13 to 17.

The afternoon classes for ages six to thirteen provide hands-on learning in exciting subjects not offered during the regular school year. Each class includes activities that stimulate creativity and imagination while building academic and personal skills.

The one-hour classes are designed to meet the abilities of four age groups - six to seven, eight to nine, ten to eleven, and twelve to thirteen. Students may take from one to four classes, and each class is $35. Up until June 3, there is a $20 discount for students who take four classes.
