A new modular Cosmetology building will be constructed in the next week at Ashland Community and Technical College. The first modules will be delivered Wednesday, Nov. 16, at about 4:00 p.m. and the remaining modules will arrive Thursday and Friday.
The Cosmetology Building will be located adjacent to the Oakview Road parking lot at the College Drive Campus. The 6,060 square foot building will provide instructional space for 48 students, including a salon classroom, offices and a separate area for the Stepping Stones program that provides wigs for cancer patients.
Site preparation and foundation construction were completed early this fall, and the $1 million building is expected to be ready for use next spring. The Cosmetology Program will move from its current location at the Roberts Drive Campus, and the Roberts Drive space will be incorporated into a STEM early college site planned for Roberts Drive.
