ACTC students, employees and their families are invited to participate in a Spring Cleaning Project at Grayson Lake State Park on April 16. Children are welcome as long as they are closely supervised.
The cleanup is community service project organized by Shawn Brown, Information Technology Instructor, and David Childress, associate professor and Information Technology Program Coordinator.
Last fall, about 80 students and family members joined Marathon Marine volunteers to support the US Army Corp of Engineers in cleaning up the park. the experience was so positive that this springs cleanup was expanded to include the whole ACTC community.
This is a good opportunity to help make our area a better place to live, said Brown.
SIGN UP by Tuesday, April 12. You can also sign up for a $5 picnic lunch if you don't want to bring your own lunch.
