A Night at the Apollo will be held Friday, February 27, at 7:00 p.m. in the J. B. Sowards Theatre at the College Drive Campus of Ashland Community and Technical College.
Based on the amateur nights at Harlems famous Apollo Theatre, A Night at the Apollo gives amateur Tri-State performers a chance to share their talents in music, dance, poetry, comedy and drama. The program is both an entertainment event for the audience and a contest for the performers. Prizes of $200, $100 and $50 for adults and $75, $50 and $25 for youth will be awarded.
A Night at the Apollo is a free Black History Month program cosponsored by ACTC, the Highlands Museum amp; Discovery Center and community organizations and individuals.
