High school students can get ready for the ACT college entrance test in a 16-hour class from 5-7 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, Nov. 13-Dec. 5.
The class is designed to help students overcome test anxiety and improve test-taking skills. Participants will go over ACT sample questions, learn test-taking tips, review English grammar and punctuation and practice working arithmetic and geometry problems. Instructor is Christine McCalvin, who is an instructor at the Greenup Adult Learning Center.
The fee is $99, and students will need to purchase Baron’s Preparation for the ACT, available in the ACTC bookstore or online bookstores.
On Nov. 13 and 14, the class will be in Room 329 at ACTC’s College Drive Campus. Subsequent classes will be in Room 510 at the Roberts Drive Campus. Register by emailing Workforce Solutions at email@example.com or by calling 606-326-2072.
