Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) is partnering with the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program Inc. (EKCEP) and Northeast Kentucky Community Action Agency to offer SRNA Plus training designed to prepare participants for careers in health care.

The 12-week training course will run Sept. 15 through Dec. 15 at ACTC’s Technology Drive Campus. The program will be available to residents of Carter, Elliott, and Lawrence counties.

The training includes State Registered Nurse Aid (SRNA) certification, certified medical technician, phlebotomy certification, and ECG technician certification.

“SRNA Plus gives participants the opportunity to earn multiple industry-recognized credentials in a relatively short period of time, opening the door to meaningful careers in healthcare,” said Robin Harris, ACTC associate vice-chancellor of workforce solutions. “Through partnerships like this, we’re able to connect individuals with the training and credentials employers need while helping strengthen the healthcare workforce across eastern Kentucky.”
