ACTC hosts successful fall 2025 Technical and Professional Career Fair

Published on Oct 16, 2025

The fall 2025 Technical and Professional Career Fair at Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) was held on Thursday, October 9, with 224 students and alumni attending, a record number for the Career Services team at ACTC.

“This was another amazing career fair with an excellent turnout from both employers and students,” said Ashley Vanderpool, ACTC career services coordinator. “Several employers shared that they’ve noticed real growth in our students’ communication, confidence, and professionalism. That’s something we take great pride in at ACTC Career Services.”

The Career Services team has been intentional about integrating the 10 Essential Skills, developed by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE), into everything they do, from classroom presentations to event preparation.

“It’s rewarding to see students applying these skills in meaningful ways,” said Vanderpool. “Employers have communicated that students are making strong eye contact, arriving prepared with resumes, and remaining fully engaged in the career fair without distractions such as cell phones. That’s the kind of preparation that sets ACTC students apart.”

The 41 employers and 75 representatives who participated offered valuable networking opportunities for students and alumni.
