Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) is proud to announce that Chris Slone, ACTC business administration program coordinator, will be participating in the 2025-2026 Kentucky Association for Career and Technical Education (KACTE) Leadership Fellows Program.
The yearlong program is designed to strengthen leadership skills, expand policy knowledge,
and foster professional networks among career and technical education (CTE) professionals
across Kentucky.
Participants will take part in three in-person leadership development sessions and
monthly virtual meetings, all aligned with the ACTE High-Quality CTE Program of Study
framework.
“KACTE is an excellent leadership program, and I feel blessed to have an opportunity
to grow my leadership skills,” said Slone. “I’m excited to work and learn from some
of the best people throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.”
Slone adds that he would like to thank Dr. Larry Ferguson, ACTC president and CEO,
for encouraging him to apply.
“I believe this opportunity will help me grow personally and professionally,” he said.
The program will include valuable engagement with policymakers, state leaders, and
fellow CTE professionals throughout the state.
KACTE is the Kentucky affiliate of the Association for Career and Technical Education,
one of the nation’s leading advocacy and policymaking organizations for career and
technical education.
