ACTC offering Kentucky Medication Aide II training

Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) is now offering Kentucky Medication Aide II training, which allows certified Kentucky Medicaid nurse aides to administer insulin using a pre-filled insulin pen in a long-term care facility under the supervision of a licensed nurse. 

Classes begin Aug. 19 and will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon at ACTC’s Roberts Drive Campus. The cost is $500 per person.

To be eligible, participants must have completed MNA 100, NAA 100, HAT 104, or NAA 125 or be listed on the Kentucky Board of Nursing registry as a CMA I/KMA.
