Ashland Community and Technical College recognized among America’s top vocational schools for 2025

Published on Jul 23, 2025

Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) is proud to announce that it has been named one of America’s Top Vocational Schools 2025 by USA TODAY.

ACTC is recognized in the focus area of Health Professions & Related Programs and has been ranked in the top 10% of all institutions featured in this prestigious list, celebrating ACTC’s commitment to student success, affordability, and career readiness.

The award list is published by USA TODAY and developed in collaboration with Statista Inc., a leading global provider of market and consumer data.

According to Statista, the ranking was developed through independent research. Over 700 U.S. vocational schools offering undergraduate certificates or diplomas were evaluated. From those, 250 top-performing institutions were selected based on several performance indicators including graduation rate, graduate salary, years to pay off net price, social mobility, among other things.

ACTC prides itself on working closely with industry partners to ensure its curriculum meets the current workforce demands. This alignment allows students to graduate with relevant, high-demand skills that translate directly into employment opportunities, often without the burden of long-term student debt.

“ACTC is elated to receive this national award of distinction for our healthcare programs,” said Dr. Larry Fergsuon, ACTC president/CEO. “We are continually striving to provide quality programs that meet the needs of our students and healthcare partners.”

The award list was announced yesterday and can currently be viewed on the USA TODAY’s website.
