Collective effort is the key to excellence in the Technology Solutions department at Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC), according to ACTC technology solutions analyst, John Hannah.

Hannah was recently awarded the Rising Star award at the TechEx conference held at Bluegrass Community and Technical College by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).

The Rising Star award is presented to an outstanding Technology Solutions employee who has been in position for a short period of time but has already made a significant impact.

Hannah has quickly become a go-to resource for solving complex technology challenges at ACTC, but he gives credit to many for helping him achieve success.

“The award is more than my personal achievement in this role as it also reflects the efforts of our local Technology Solutions team in addition the talented IT professionals in similar roles with the other KCTCS campuses,” said Hannah. “Their success directly correlates to my success, and I thank them for their hard work and support.”

Hannah said he has been fortunate to collaborate with Jim Fox, ACTC director of technology solutions, along with technology solutions coordinators, Chris Hambrick, Jack Johnson, Emory Barney, and many other IT professionals.

“I am pleased that John was recognized for his rising knowledge and innovations in technology, representing our great technology solutions team here in Ashland, and collaboration with other KCTCS colleges across the state,” said Fox.

The Technology Solutions team at ACTC ensures that all members of the college community have the technological tools and support they need to succeed in their academic and professional endeavors.

Hannah’s recognition highlights the collaborative efforts taking place across ACTC and KCTCS to improve technology services and support.
