ACTC raises nearly $4,700 during annual KCTCS Giving Day

Momentum, generosity, and a shared commitment to student success defined this year’s Giving Day at Ashland Community & Technical College (ACTC).

ACTC participated alongside the other fifteen KCTCS colleges in the 24-hour fundraising event last Wednesday. Donations will support the college’s greatest needs, including scholarships, the food pantry, Phi Theta Kappa, and essential resources that empower students to succeed.

“The generosity we received for Giving Day tells a powerful story,” said Kim Minnehan, ACTC advancement administrator. “In just one day, 82 donors from 16 states stepped up to support ACTC, including our own faculty and staff. We reconnected with friends and supporters and welcomed in new donors.”

Andrew Jones, an ACTC Foundation Board member, said that he gave because of the college’s positive impact on the community.

“It’s my hope that by supporting ACTC we can continue to provide opportunities for the next generation of folks that call Ashland home,” Jones said.

A total of $4,686.04 was raised during the event through contributions from alumni, board members, faculty/staff, students, friends, and new donors.

“Impact isn’t measured in just dollars,” Minnehan said. “Sometimes it’s in the spirit, the stories, and the continued belief in our mission. Thank you to everyone who gave, shared, and believed.”
