
ACTC hosts successful health sciences and health professions career fair

Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) hosted its Spring 2025 Health Sciences and Health Professions Career Fair on the College Drive Campus Monday, March 31.
The event provided students with valuable opportunities to advance their careers.
“It was great talking to different kinds of employers and getting a feel for the local job market,” said Kiersten Harris, ACTC medical information technology student. “The information I received and connections I made will be very helpful in building my career.”
A total of 83 students and alumni attended the fair, taking advantage of the chance to explore career options and connect with industry professionals.
“Providing students with opportunities to connect and network with employers while attending ACTC is at the heart of what we do,” said Ashley Vanderpool, ACTC Career Services Coordinator. “We encourage students to participate in career fairs each semester to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and develop the professionalism essential for today’s workforce.”
ACTC extends its gratitude to the employers and representatives who participated, offering vital networking opportunities for students and alumni.
Participating employers included: Community Hospice, FirstLight Home Care, Harbor Healthcare, Hospice of Huntington, Inc., Kentucky National Guard, Kentucky Career Center, Kynect, Marshall Health Network, Marshall University, Necco Center, Northeast Community Action-KYNECT, Pathways, Ramey-Estep/Re-group, ScribeAmerica, Southern Ohio Medical Center, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Three Rivers Medical Center, UK King’s Daughters Medical Center, UK St. Claire, Valley Health, Western and Southern.
