Open House for ACTC Health Science Programs

Ashland Community and Technical College’s Health Science division is hosting an Open House event open to all campus and community members on Friday, November 17, 1pm-3pm at the College Drive Campus.  This event will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn more about the many exciting program options one can consider at ACTC in the Health Sciences field.

 

The event will include a presentation over the different healthcare programs available at ACTC, information about developments with ACTC’s new Health Science Integrated Simulation Lab, a tour of the health sciences labs and classrooms, and an opportunity to speak with program coordinators directly to learn more about how to become a student in one of these many exciting program options.

 

Janet Thompson, Program Coordinator for Medical Information Technology, is eager to work with the ACTC Health Sciences division to offer this informative event to the community.  

 

“The open house event will have something for everyone interested in the healthcare field, from programs that can be done in one semester such as Nurse Aid or Phlebotomy, programs in specialized areas such as Medical Assisting, Radiography and Surgical Technology, programs specializing in patient care such as LPN and RN, an online program in the administrative/business side of healthcare such as Medical Information Technology, and a program where one can express endless creativity in Cosmetology,” said Thompson.
