Second Bi-Term Registration Ends October 2nd

ASHLAND, Ky. – The admissions application deadline for the fall bi-term classes at Ashland Community and Technical College is October 2nd.

 

Fall bi-term classes at Ashland Community and Technical College start on October 16 and end on December 10. Bi-term classes are eight weeks long, half the length of traditional semester classes. They have the same content as semester long classes but cover the content in a shorter time.

 

Some of the courses being offered meet general education requirements, while others are program specific. Students enrolling should speak with their advisor or an SSES advisor to see if any of the bi-term courses meet their specific program requirements.

 

A variety of in-person/hybrid classes are being offered for Automotive Technology, Biological Sciences, Business Administration System, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Communications, Computer-Aided Design, Diesel Technology, Electronics, Electronics Technology, Fluid Power, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Mathematics, Medical Assisting, Nursing Assistant Paramedic/Allied Health, Phlebotomy, Psychology, and Truck Driving.

 

Online classes being offered include Managerial Accounting, Introduction to Business, Basic Public Speaking, Introduction to Computers, Architectural Design, Earth’s Physical Environment, History of the US Through 1865, History of the US Since 1865, College Algebra, General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Intro to Sociology, Modern Social Problems, and Transfer Planning.

New students enrolling only in the bi-term session may be eligible for financial aid. To apply for financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/ 

 

Currently enrolled students are not eligible to receive additional financial aid for bi-term classes added to their schedules, and visiting students are not eligible to receive financial aid through ACTC.
