ACTC professor releases fourth novel
August 29, 2023
Ashland Community and Technical College history professor, Coy Hall, is set to release his novel, The Promise of Plague Wolves, on September 12, 2023.
This will be Hall’s fourth novel, following up Grimoire of the Four Impostors, The Hangman Feeds the Jackal, and A Pantheon of Thieves and Other Weird Tales. Continuing in historical horror, The Promise of Plague Wolves is set in 1686 Austria.
“The Promise of Plague Wolves represents not only years of studying the 17th century, but it captures all the themes and anxieties I’ve explored in my writing over the past decade,” Hall shares. “This novel was long in the making.”
The story follows two plagues spreading throughout the Austrian countryside, bringing about themes of mystery, challenges, and adventure for the reader to uncover.
“The 17th century was a painful period of change that mirrors our own time,” Hall adds. “Readers will note the different texture of that world first. Then the similarities, the unchanging human qualities (good and bad), will surface.”
The Promise of Plague Wolves will release from Nosetouch Press. The book will be available in both ebook and paperback on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and anywhere else books are sold.
